Dr. Jensen, the Director of the Ben Towne Center for Childhood Cancer Research at Seattle Children’s Hospital, received a grant check for $105,000.00 from Jack Sutherland, President and CEO of Make Some Noise- Northwest and Junior Board members Maxsena Butler, Tally Black Brown, and Ben LaRoche. The grant consisted of funds realized from “The Cure is Now 2014″, One Call for All on Bainbridge Island, and matching funds from corporate headquarters of Make Some Noise: Cure Kids Cancer Foundation, Inc.
Make Some Noise has now made research grants to the promising work of Dr. Jensen totaling $220,000. Attending the check presentation were board members Bridget Butler, Ben LaRoche, Tally Black-Brown, Dr. Michael C. Jensen, Maxsena Butler, Jack Sutherland, and Kris Rogers, with Kayla Black, mother of cancer warrior Tally Black-Brown.
